According to LMFF’s director Karen Webster:
“We’re interested in fashion that takes your breath away, in events that take your breath away … that’s what we’re aiming for every step of the way with this Festival.”
Keep your eyes peeled for POP UP fashion catwalks @ Fed Square, the MCG, & City Square. Don't forget that the Prahran Town Hall will hold The Fashion Collections, featuring designers such as Lisa Ho andLevis.
Young designers get a chance to rock your socks off at the MINI Independent Runway and Target Rocks Red Market (who launched Stella McCartney’s designs last year) will release another international designer onto the buzzing Australian fashion scene.
Stay tuned for more updates.

The OC OSCARCALVO menswear label is aimed at the sleek & stylish guy not afraid to make a statement. He is a leader, not a follower. Founded in 2004 by Melbourne designer Oscar Calvo, this is definitely a label to watch. It's fresh and exciting with quirky prints and a modern take on the retro.
Calvo’s first collection was launched in March of 2005, where the collection featured a high-end tailored street look with hoods, graphic tops made with quality fabrics. He participated in the first monthly fashion shows at the new Melbourne landmark, ‘Federation Square,’ in March 2005.
Oscar was a Victorian finalist at the ‘Mercedes-Benz Start Up Program 2005,’ and in November was one of the top 10 designers to return as a representative of the 2005 “End Of Year Designer Showcase” at Federation Square where he won the ‘Designer of the Year’ audience poll.
In June 2007 in the arts precinct side of Johnston Street, Collingwood, he opened his flagship boutique . There you'll find his collection of clothing as well as footwear and accessories. "The boutique is also a specialist fashion district. A space dedicated to the unique; eye catching and avant garde of young Australian men’s and women’s fashion. It will have an eclectic mix of the past, present and future local designers."
Oscar says: "For the OC man it’s easy to go from the beach to the dance floor. He indulges himself with a never-ending party wardrobe, wearing multi-functional clothes like cool double button floral shirts in a mix of melon, grass green and vibrant red, paired with a slim linen blazer and skinny pants. Fine merino wool button up v-neck tops matched back with little low-rider soft silk shorts that are loud and fastened with thin leather belts or silk ties."
